HUNTING THE WAY NATURE INTENDED   

Hunting days for 2011/2012 season are now fully booked

For those wishing for a fuller falconry experience we can offer a full or half days hunting with hawks.

Your day will begin with a quick introduction to the birds of prey, the dogs, ferrets and falconers that will be assisting in your session.  With some instructions and practice on handling birds of prey which is both safe for you and the bird, we then will introduce you to the Harris hawk that will be yours for the day and move on to the hunting grounds.

Our quarry is mainly rabbits and pheasants (in season) and you will get to see the incredible ability of you hawk as it strives to do what it was evolved for and catch its own quarry.  We can also take clients out to see the speed and style of falcons hunting (quarry and flight style will depend on the season).  We are one of the few centres in the country able to offer this.We will break during the day for lunch, Normally at the Bistro of Bovey Castle Hotel

Due to the huge popularity of hunting days we are now asking people to contact us directly before purchasing hunting vouchers

Please note: The hunting days are only run from October through to Mid February.  Sorry we do not allow spectators on these days.
